Woo! Its friday!

Thank god its Friday, 3 more weeks to go of class, then we're done for good, then it's on to bigger and better things, a co-op of course, and then hopefully a paying job after lol! I don't know why but whenever I am at school trying to upload images or new ads I have created they never want to upload!!! Grrr makes me so mad! But yet Ian sitting right beside me just uploaded something on to his Carbon Made site and it uploaded just fine! I guess Im cursed. I do have quite a few more ads to upload onto here and my online portfolio so stay tuned!!!

Just finished doing this Roxy AD for my retail class, its prob one of the coolest ads ive ever done! Im quite impressed with myself lol

Kidrobot

About 2 months ago i went to this club in Toronto called Circa, and one of the rooms was called the kidrobot room, it has all these graphic designs on the walls, and little action figures everywhere, some of the little figures were even stools to sit on and recontly i found out that kidrobot is actually a brand, they have all sorts of different little toys with designs on them, they also sell clothing and other merchandise as-well i just thought it was really cool, they have lots of stores in the staes, in New York and L.A and whatnot, heres some pics of what they sell and how their stores look..

for my retail class, we had to find retail ad's and re-do them, and make them better, these are the ones i did, the first two are the orginals, and the 2nd two are the ones i did!

wow i really have to start blogging more!!!! its not as easy as i thought it would be to keep up on it...heres an ad me and my classmate ian did for our portfolio presentation class....our teacher loved the headline (which i came up with) but didnt like the art direction that much, and i would have to agree......so we have to re-do, and i have a bunch of ideas on how to do it.....heres the original and the new and improved copy will be posted tomorrow :)

terriable blooger i am

wow i havnt blogged in a few days, im failing already considering we are supposed to do this 6 days a week....sorry raf! LOL, i didnt go to school today, which isnt good.....havnt been feeling good at all though which also isnt very good.....im supposed to have 10-15 ad's done for my web portfolio class, and im havnt such a hard time making them all again, i really dont like doing desisn, and just feel intimidated because everyone else in the class is so much better then me. I really need to get back in school mode though, only a little bit of time left before co-op so i should really get my bum in gear.....until next time (which will be tomorrow) keep on rockin in the free world....

guerilla advertising - this ones intense

so again i was looking on ihaveanidea.org and was looking through the guerilla advertising and found this really cool one thats advertising Alberta, kinda hit close to home too considering my whole family is in Alberta now, neways it was pretty cool so i thought id post it on here.....

The Grass Roots

So today I didnt go to school, wasnt feeling so hot, but I did spend my day looking at all the amazing work on Ihaveanidea.org and came across some extreamly funny ad's for hemp clothing. Even though it is a large sterotype that every person who smokes weed wears hemp clothing...these ad's are still hilarious!

Volcom = God

So one of our teachers decided it would be a good idea to have a blog, which we must update everyday! Thanks Raf! haha. I guess its a good idea, we can upload our own creative work, and view our peers, and keep people up to date on all forms of art that effect our lives as Advertising students. 

Volcom Stone is more then a skateboarding and snowboarding brand, but its also art, a lifestyle, a religion if you will. On the Volcom website they have SICK pieces of art by the Volcom featured artists. Check it! www.volcom.com/art . With its pop arty feel and don't give a f*ck attitude I truly admire and strive to design like some of these artists do.
